Summer isn’t Over in Saratoga!

Posted in General, Hotel

It may officially be September, but that doesn’t mean the Summer fun has to be over! There is still so much to see and enjoy in Saratoga that takes advantage of the lovely pre-fall weather.

Take a hike – The nature trails adjacent to Longfellows lead to beautiful views, and the shores of Lake Lonely. Delicate slopes make the walk manageable for hikers of almost every ability.

Go jump in a lake – The pools may be closing, but the lakes never do. Kayak and canoe rentals are still available on Saratoga Lake. Many areas of the lake are perfect for the boating, fishing, and various water sports still available to enjoy once Labor Day has come and gone!

Saratoga Food & Wine Festival – The second weekend in September brings more outdoor fun at the Saratoga Food and Wine Festival , held for its 18th year at SPAC. A full-weekend event, the festival features international wines, gourmet food tastings from top restaurants, and appearances and competitions featuring celebrity chefs David Burke and Todd English. Yum!

Pick your own – Many orchards and farms offer the option to enter and enjoy a day picking your own apples, berries, or other delicious fresh and local produce. Local family-run establishments are happy to welcome guests for a day of family fun among the animals and fresh fruit & vegetables!

Don’t let Fall lurking right around the corner ruin your summer fun! Saratoga is fun and fabulous in every season, so get out there and enjoy the remnants of summer before it’s time for Autumn leaves and hot cider.

Longfellows can help book your extended summer weekend! Call us for a romantic room, a room for your family adventure,  or rooms for the friends you never travel without, and don’t let that Saratoga summer fade away.
